Series 2400 modular vacuum conveying equipment is designed to move powder, pellet, regrind, or granular material with equal ease and efficiency. This versatility results from interchangeable component options in the unit’s material of construction, power, filter, and receiver inlet sections.  This also makes it easy to adapt the equipment to future applications.

Features:

  • Materials of construction
Receivers are available in aluminum or 316 stainless steel. Since receiver sections are interchangeable, receivers can be specified with stainless steel material contact areas only.
  • Choice of power source
You can choose between a self-contained vacuum source mounted in the receiver’s lid, or a central system vacuum blower. Self-contained units (loaders) work well as independent single stations where material is moved a short distance to one destination. Central system receivers utilize a common vacuum blower package, and are primarily used on multiple destination applications where larger conveying rates or long distances are required.
  • Heavy-duty discharge spout

Each receiver is equipped with a heavy-duty, cast discharge spout and one-piece stainless steel gate. A rubber seal is positioned on the spout and makes a positive seal with the during the draw cycle. It is designed to withstand high temperature applications for loading drying hoppers.

  • Quick clean capabilities

Each section of the receiver is attached by quick-connect clamps to facilitate filter maintenance and receiver cleaning. Additionally, this provides variable rotation of each section to allow the receiver’s inlet and outlet to be positioned for proper installation.

  • Level sensor

A Hall Effect-based magnetic level-sensing system, located on the top side of the unit’s mounting flange, requires no wires in the product zone. It signals the controls that another load of material is required when the discharge gate closes.

  • Single or dual inlets

Single or dual inlets with tangential entry for efficient material/air separation are available. Single inlets have a check valve to permit more than one receiver to draw material from a common conveying line. Dual inlets allow the receiver to accept product from two material sources in an operator defined ratio. For example, the receiver could draw virgin material with one inlet and regrind with the other. The ratio is controlled at the Central Controller.

Filters designed to meet your specific applications

Pellet receiver filters

The pancake foam filter is ideal for handling clean material such as pellets, where the need
for filtration is minimal.

Perforated aluminum filter
is specified for applications where the removal of fines is important. As the first in a two-stage system, the perforated aluminum filter retains large particles in the receiver, allowing the fines to be collected downstream in the in-line filter.

Static bag filter

The static bag filter is included in the Regrind Receiver. It consists of a group of cloth bags providing more filter area for use with regrind or pellets containing fines.

Self-cleaning bag filters
The Powder Receiver uses the static bag filter element with pulse cleaning added. The filter bags are cleaned automatically with bursts of compressed air after each draw cycle. This reduces manual filter cleaning and makes the powder unit ideal for handling powdered or granular material. The self-cleaning unit can also be used in pellet applications where manual filter cleaning is restricted by the unit’s location.
