2422 Receivers

Our most versatile Series 2400 receiver, the 2422 Receiver is designed to handle materials ranging from freeflowing pellets to difficult-to-discharge fine powders. It features a steepsided hopper and powered gate for complete material discharge, large filter area for fine powders, and is available in a choice of carefully selected materials and finishes. The unit is designed to make disassembly for cleaning and maintenance easy.

The plastics industry uses the 2422 Receiver to convey difficult-to-handle and abrasive additives, fillers and compounds. The unit’s large filter area separates the very fine powders while the 77°, steep-sided hopper prevents material from clinging to the hopper walls. The 2422’s center entry with baffle also reduces hopper wear that can result from conveying materials with some abrasive qualities.

Features:

Materials of construction
The 2422 Receiver is available in 316 and 304 stainless steel or epoxy-coated carbon steel for applications requiring specific materials of construction to meet the demands of abrasion resistance, sanitary conditions, or a corrosive environment. Welds can be ground smooth or flush. Interior and exterior surfaces of stainless steel units can be bead-blasted and/or electropolished for superior performance and appearance.

Simplified installation
To simplify receiver installation, the hopper section has three support arms which allow the unit to be anchored to the floor, ceiling, or a machine. The air control valve is also attached with a quick-release band clamp to allow easy alignment with the vacuum airline.

Discharge gate
The powered 12-inch gate ensures material discharge even when the product is not heavy enough to open the gate by gravity. It also lets the 2422 Receiver be used in applications where material needs to be dumped on demand and not on a “keep full” basis. A nonpowered gate is also available for less demanding applications.

Level sensing indicator
A capacitance or paddle-style level indicator to sense the level of material in the hopper below the receiver is an available option.

Quick disassembly for cleaning
To provide quick access for receiver cleaning or maintenance and to accommodate contaminationsensitive applications, the discharge gate, inlet adapter, and center filter body section are all attached to the hopper with quick-release band clamps. This lets the unit be easily disassembled and reassembled without tools.

Solid-state controls
The receiver controls are solidstate and are available in a NEMA 4, NEMA 7, or NEMA 9 enclosure. The receiver control commands the functions of the discharge gate, filter pulse cleaning, level indicator, vacuum valve, and inlet selection for those units equipped with dual inlets. All solenoids are located in the enclosure, pre-wired, requiring only that the supplied air hose be connected between the enclosure and receiver at the time of installation.
